“Makingturns in The Tenmile-Mosquito Range – A Ski and Snowboard Guidebook”

I’m pleased to announce that my first book will be back from the printers soon. The planned release is November 10th, 2012 at the Friends of CAIC Benefit Bash in Breckenridge Colorado. I’ve been working on this project now for 10 years since conception. I’ve been skiing the range since I first moved to Colorado back in 1992. I look back at the times I lived in Breck, Alma, Fairplay and Summit Cove with fondness. Some of my favorite moments in life happened in Summit County. Some of the best skiing I’ve ever done also happened in the area. Hopefully the readers of my book will have many fun days themselves.

I’m very pleased to be involved with Friends of CAIC for this project and into the future. I’ve always felt that people should be involved with their communities and the work that CAIC does for our backcountry ski and snowboard community is so important. People are safer with the help of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Anything we can do to help them do their jobs I am in favor of. Therefore I’m starting off my company on the right foot by offering the 1st 100 copies of the book for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to Friends of CAIC. Come to the Benefit Bash to get your copy and help subsidize an avy forecaster for a season. The life you save may be your own.

The book will be available November 11th, 2012 at local stores in Lake, Summit, Park and Chaffee Counties. You will also be able to find it at select location along the Front Range. Check it out, grab your beacon, shovel and probe and go get yourself some powder. Here’s to an awesome winter and many more.

Happy Turns
